What is Carers Breakthrough?
Carers Breakthrough is a project for any adult carer of somebody experiencing mental health problems. The scheme is open to anybody who is a resident in the borough of Southend-on-Sea.
A Breakthrough carer is an adult of any age whose life is restricted by providing regular care for a family member or friend who has mental health needs, including dementia.

We provide:
One to one informal listening services, with a chance to offload, find out information and connect to other services.
Therapeutic counselling services.
Holistic self help group: Join in with gentle stretching exercises or yoga and relaxation sessions to de-stress and improve confidence.
OCD self-help group.
Book group.
Plus other services to meet the needs of carers.
